Alexandra Beach is in the Noosa National Park. Only accessible on foot, to get there you have to walk through the national park. After the final scramble down onto the beach, arriving always takes my breath away. It is one of my favourite places. The walk from Sunshine Beach to Noosa Head and Hastings Street through the national park has become part of our family's holiday ritual. I love the sense of magic and isolation. The shallow dunes are beautiful in the late afternoon as the shadows lengthen and become the deepest blue.
