I have been making art to commission for more than 30 years. I love to make art that a client wants, many artists don't like commissions but I have rarely said no.
I can ( in theory ) paint anything you want. You might have an idea about the subject, colours, and size and the way to achieve your goal is through good communication. I cannot read your mind. It would be very handy if I could. I would send you a survey then we would have several conversations and then I would produce drawings and roughs for your review before embarking on a finished piece.
I usually complete this type of work in acrylic on board or canvas, although I have used image release previously.
The examples shown here are some very recent commissions. The huge still life on canvas was completed for a client's home and specific location. Of the gardens, one is for a client who was relocating to an apartment post-divorce and wanted her view to come with her. The triptych was for a client who was moving back to the UK from Australia and wanted to remember their subtropical garden back in grey old England.
