Collection: Still Life

My still life paintings are part of an ongoing series in acrylic on a wood panel which explores the exceptional light quality and colour in my rural Queensland studio.

I teach painting and drawing and use simple setups in class. Painting from life and utilising the same kind of student still lifes myself has been an invaluable tool in my teaching practice. Expressing the profound beauty of everyday objects from close observation extends my own practice through the joy of colour, surface and paint.
